CBS Announces Fall 2024 Premiere Schedule For New and Returning Series

CBS has announced its fall 2024 premiere schedule, detailing the launch dates for its new and returning drama, comedy, and unscripted series. The network's lineup includes highly anticipated premieres for established franchises and new programming.

Among the returning dramas, "Tracker," starring Justin Hartley, will kick off its second season on Sunday, September 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This follows a successful freshman season that made it the most-watched new series of the 2023-2024 television season, drawing an average of 10.9 million viewers. The "NCIS" franchise will see the premiere of its newest installment, "NCIS: New York," on Tuesday, October 1, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. This new series joins the long-running "NCIS," which returns for its 22nd season on September 27, and "NCIS: Hawai'i," which concludes its run. The "FBI" franchise also returns with "FBI" premiering on Tuesday, October 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by "FBI: International" at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and "FBI: Most Wanted" at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesdays. "Fire Country" will debut its third season on Friday, October 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, after "Blue Bloods" concludes its 14-season run.

In the comedy department, the acclaimed "Ghosts" will return for its fourth season on Thursday, October 3, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. This date marks the return of the popular Thursday comedy block. "The Neighborhood" and "Bob Hearts Abishola" will also return on Wednesdays, with "The Neighborhood" premiering its seventh season on September 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and "Bob Hearts Abishola" launching its fifth season at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on the same night. The network has also scheduled "Young Sheldon" for its seventh and final season premiere on Thursday, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, leading into "Ghosts."

CBS's unscripted programming will feature the return of long-running reality competition series. "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race" will premiere their new seasons on Wednesday, September 18, with "Survivor" airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT and "The Amazing Race" following at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. "Tough as Nails" will also return for its fifth season on Sunday, October 6, at 7 p.m. ET/PT. The network's fall schedule aims to leverage the strength of its established franchises while introducing new narrative arcs and continuing its commitment to live viewership.
