CarbonScape specializes in converting forestry byproducts into graphite, a key component for lithium-ion batteries.

Ledoux-Pedailles stated that this partnership is crucial for scaling CarbonScape's technology over the next two years. The investment is expected to accelerate the company's path towards commercial production, which is currently targeted for the 2029–2030 timeframe. The collaboration aims to leverage CATL's extensive experience in battery manufacturing and supply chain management.
