Capital One Dulles Lounge Reopens After Infrastructure Upgrades

The Capital One Lounge located at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is set to fully reopen on September 18 at 11 a.m. ET, concluding a period of limited service necessitated by infrastructure and ventilation upgrades. These enhancements were implemented to improve temperature consistency and ensure a comfortable environment within the lounge throughout the year. The physical design and layout of the 8,500-square-foot lounge remain unchanged.

During the main lounge's closure, Capital One provided eligible visitors with access to a dedicated food service counter. This temporary offering included some hot food options, grab-and-go items, and a limited cafe-style seating area situated just outside the primary lounge space. With the full reopening, guests will once again have access to the complete lounge amenities. These include extensive seating, a coffee bar, a grab-and-go section, a full-service bar, and a buffet featuring a diverse selection of hot and cold dishes.

Access to the Capital One Lounge at Dulles continues to be available to specific cardholders. Primary cardholders of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture X Business card are granted access when they have a departing flight within three hours. For these primary cardholders, guests are permitted at a cost of $45 per adult and $25 per child aged 2 to 17, with children under 2 admitted free. A notable benefit for high-spending Venture X cardholders is the ability to bring two complimentary guests per lounge visit for the remainder of the calendar year and the subsequent year, provided they have spent at least $75,000 on their Venture X or Venture X Business card within a calendar year.

Authorized users can also gain lounge access, though this incurs an additional fee. Venture X cardholders can pay $125 per year to extend lounge access to up to four authorized users. Similarly, Venture X Business cardholders pay $125 per authorized user annually for this privilege. Cardholders of the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and their accompanying guests can access the lounge for a fee of $45 per person, with a reduced rate of $25 for children.
