BYD launched the Seal 08 in China this week, positioning it as a competitive option in the electric vehicle market with a starting price under $30,000.

The new model boasts an impressive plug-in hybrid (PHEV) range of up to 1,660 kilometers (approximately 1,031 miles) on a single charge, a figure that significantly surpasses many competitors.

Key features highlighted by BYD include "zero-gravity seats" designed for enhanced comfort and a substantial 26-inch augmented reality (AR) display integrated into the cabin. These amenities aim to elevate the in-car experience for drivers and passengers.
