BYD Dolphin G Launches in Europe with 65-Mile EV Range

BYD launched the Dolphin G DM-i plug-in hybrid hatchback in Europe this week, marking the company's first vehicle specifically designed for the European market. The new model boasts up to 65 miles (104 km) of pure electric range and a total combined range of 646 miles (1040 km) on a full charge and tank of fuel. BYD stated that the Dolphin G DM-i aims to redefine the compact car segment by offering an affordable and efficient alternative to existing models.

The Dolphin G DM-i is now available for order across Europe, with a starting price of approximately $32,000 USD. This pricing positions the vehicle competitively within the European automotive market, targeting consumers seeking a balance between electric-only driving capability and the extended range of a hybrid system. The vehicle's introduction signifies BYD's expanding presence and commitment to the European region.
