Bremont Launches 35mm Terra Nova Jumping Hour Watch

Bremont has expanded its Terra Nova Jumping Hour watch collection by introducing a new, more compact 35mm case size, crafted from 904L stainless steel. This expansion, unveiled at Geneva Watch Days, offers a versatile dress watch format with vintage appeal, complementing the existing 40.5mm models. The Terra Nova line, first launched in 2024, draws inspiration from early 20th-century trench and military pocket watches, reinterpreting classic military aesthetics with modern, low-profile cushion-shaped cases and shortened lugs. The new 35mm silhouette enhances the collection's signature jumping hour display, also known as montre à guichet.

The 35mm lineup features several distinct finishes and dial designs. The core model, the Terra Nova 35 Jumping Hour, presents a closed, brushed steel dial with dual aperture windows positioned at 12 and 6 o'clock to display the jumping hour and sweeping minutes. Adding a vibrant option, the Terra Nova 35 Jumping Hour Burgundy showcases a sunray-lacquered burgundy dial, vertical jumping hour windows, a central seconds hand, and star and dot hour markers. For those seeking a more decorative aesthetic, Bremont has introduced two limited-edition textured models. The Terra Nova 35 Jumping Hour Frosted is limited to 150 pieces and features a shimmering, diamond-like hammered case. The Terra Nova 35 Jumping Hour Frosted Pink is limited to 200 pieces, distinguished by a sunray pink dial, star and diamond markers, and a pale pink nubuck leather strap.

At the core of these new timepieces is the automatic Bremont Calibre BC634, a movement developed in exclusive partnership with Sellita. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph) and offers a power reserve of 54 hours. The Calibre BC634 is engineered with a high-torque jumping hour mechanism, designed to facilitate instantaneous hour changes. This mechanism ensures that the hour display shifts precisely at the top of the hour, a hallmark of jumping hour complications.
