Breitling Launches DB5 Tribute Chronograph with Aston Martin

Breitling has launched the Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 Tribute to Aston Martin DB5, a new limited-edition watch collection that honors the iconic 1964 Aston Martin DB5. The design of the chronographs draws inspiration from the DB5's interior, incorporating elements such as wood-inlay details, gradient leather straps, and dashboard-inspired "squircle" subdials. This collaboration between Breitling and Aston Martin revives a connection that began with the DB5's appearance in the 1965 James Bond film "Thunderball."

The collection features three distinct models. The first is a stainless steel version with a silver dial, limited to 1,022 pieces. The second is a combination of steel and platinum with a black lacquered dial, restricted to 315 units. The third and most exclusive edition is crafted from 18k red gold with an onyx dial, with only 250 pieces produced. Each watch includes a wooden inner ring that references the DB5's steering wheel, blending automotive heritage with Breitling's watchmaking expertise.

Powering these timepieces is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified self-winding movement. This movement boasts a 70-hour power reserve, column-wheel architecture, and a vertical clutch, ensuring precision and performance. The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback and features a custom Aston Martin rotor, which is rhodium-plated or gold-plated depending on the watch's edition. The chronographs have a 41 mm case size and offer 100-meter water resistance, combining horological engineering with automotive legacy.
