Bosch CEO Unexpectedly Leaves World’s Biggest Car-Parts Maker

Stefan Hartung is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of Robert Bosch GmbH, the world's largest automotive supplier, effective December 31, 2024. Hartung's tenure was marked by a significant restructuring effort aimed at enhancing the company's competitiveness, which included the elimination of thousands of jobs. He had been at the helm of the Stuttgart-based company since January 1, 2022, and his departure comes as Bosch navigates a challenging period for the automotive industry, characterized by the transition to electric vehicles and increased competition. Prior to his CEO role, Hartung served as Chief Financial Officer and was a member of the company's executive board since 2013. The company has not yet announced a successor.
