Born X Raised and Vans Launch Authentic 44 Collection

Born X Raised and Vans have officially previewed their forthcoming collaborative collection, the Authentic 44. This partnership follows an exclusive community event held at House of Vans Mexico City, where a limited Friends and Family edition, consisting of only 50 pairs, was initially revealed. The design of the upcoming retail iteration is attributed to Alex “2Tone” Erdmann, co-founder of Born X Raised. Erdmann's distinctive hand-sketched aesthetic, first showcased on the Mexico City exclusive, is translated across multiple colorways including white, black, and blue. These were previewed during Paris Fashion Week, signaling the collection's global reach and anticipation within the fashion industry. The footwear is characterized by a deliberately worn-in appearance, achieved through the use of distressed canvas, scuffed edges, and yellowed midsoles. The uppers are adorned with pen-style illustrations that evoke a raw, artistic sensibility. These detailed graphics include patterns of brick walls around the toe and heel areas, as well as imagery of spiders, webs, and teardrops. Prominently featured is the "OFF THE WALL" typography, a signature element of Vans, alongside paint splatter accents that enhance the collection's unique, handcrafted feel. Accompanying the footwear, a comprehensive apparel capsule has been developed to complement the shoe release. This clothing line features a washed black hoodie and sweatpants set, designed for comfort and style. Additionally, the capsule includes black and blue graphic T-shirts, showcasing Born X Raised's distinctive branding and artistic motifs. A notable piece is a mesh football jersey, which is embellished with Born X Raised’s signature Old English branding, adding a touch of streetwear heritage. Khaki trousers complete the apparel offering, providing versatile options for consumers. The Born X Raised x Vans Authentic 44 collection is slated for an official release during the Spring/Summer 2027 (SS27) season. Consumers will be able to purchase the collection through the official Born X Raised website, the Vans website, and select authorized retailers worldwide.
