Boreham Motorworks Ford Escort Mk1 RS Revealed with 10K-RPM Redline

Boreham Motorworks revealed its reimagined Ford Escort Mk1 RS this week, featuring a 10,000 RPM redline. The updated classic car is powered by a 2.5-liter Millington Diamond engine, producing 350 horsepower. This engine is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox from Elite Racing Transmissions. The vehicle also boasts a fully independent suspension system, with Reiger dampers and Eibach springs, and AP Racing brakes for enhanced stopping power. The exterior design pays homage to the original Mk1 RS but incorporates modern aerodynamic elements, including a revised front splitter and a larger rear spoiler. Inside, the cabin features a roll cage, a digital dashboard, and racing seats, all designed to meet modern safety standards while retaining a classic aesthetic. Boreham Motorworks has stated that the car is built to order, with production slots filling up rapidly following its initial unveiling at the end of 2024. Pricing details have not been publicly disclosed, but industry estimates suggest a significant investment for this bespoke performance vehicle.
