Bombillo Amarillo Launches Animation Studio in Spain

Bombillo Amarillo, the Colombian co-producer recognized for its work on the Annecy Cristal-winning animated feature film “The Violinist,” is expanding its operations by launching a new animation studio in Spain. This strategic move establishes an international beachhead for the company within the European animation landscape.

The new entity, named BA Estudios, will be an animation studio based in Bilbao, the capital of the Bizkaia province in Spain’s Basque Country. The studio is slated to begin operations during the week of July 13. This expansion signifies Bombillo Amarillo's commitment to growing its global footprint and tapping into new creative and production resources.

The establishment of BA Estudios in Spain follows the critical acclaim and success of “The Violinist,” which secured the prestigious Cristal award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. This award is considered one of the highest honors in the animation industry, highlighting the quality and artistic merit of Bombillo Amarillo's productions.
