Happy Broccoli Games, the developer behind Duck Detective, has revealed details for its upcoming mystery game, Apple Crumble. This new title draws inspiration from the film Knives Out, presenting players with a whodunnit scenario centered around a family.

In Apple Crumble, the core objective is to uncover who intends to harm the family matriarch. Players will navigate a family home, interacting with various suspicious characters including a stressed mother, a "midlife crisis uncle," and an unexpected stranger. Unlike the previous game, Duck Detective, which involved solving crimes within a small office setting, Apple Crumble emphasizes exploration and investigation within a larger domestic environment.

Annika Maar, founder and creative director at Happy Broccoli Games, stated her enthusiasm for creating a "walking sim" experience where players can thoroughly examine every aspect of the environment, opening drawers and doors to discover hidden clues. As players delve deeper into the personal grievances and hidden troubles of each family member, the central mystery of the game will gradually unfold, revealing the intricate plot against the grandmother.
