UK Shares Missile Blueprints With Ukraine

Andy Burnham arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 24, 2026, to share United Kingdom blueprints for the production of long-range missiles. In a televised address on Independence Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the immense difficulties faced by the nation, stating, "things are really very difficult for all of us." However, he emphasized the resilience and unity of the Ukrainian people, which he described as "holding us firmly by the hand." Zelenskyy also conveyed a defiant message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, asserting that Putin "never understood us" and that his ambitions to seize Ukrainian territory have resulted in significant losses for Russia, including "your oil refineries, your fleet, your profits, your entire generation that you sent into the meat grinder."
