Andrea Ferrari Designs OG—NM301 Stool Merging Cycling and Aviation

NM3, in collaboration with QuadroDesign, has launched the OG—NM301, a stainless steel stool designed by Andrea Ferrari. This new piece integrates principles from aeronautical engineering and cycling manufacturing to achieve a lightweight and structurally sound design. The stool's construction utilizes material optimization techniques common in the aviation industry, emphasizing structural integrity. Furthermore, its legs are inspired by tube-bending methods prevalent in bicycle frame construction, resulting in a minimalist yet robust form. The OG—NM301 is engineered for durability, making it suitable for both outdoor use and interior spaces, including shower areas. This versatility reflects a shared commitment to formal simplicity and precise craftsmanship between NM3 and QuadroDesign. The industrial production of the stool was facilitated by QuadroDesign's advanced CNC manufacturing capabilities. A key design element is the solid-machined joint, a sophisticated component that connects the seat to the legs, entirely concealing all fasteners for a clean aesthetic. To showcase the stool's adaptability, NM3 and QuadroDesign launched the "One size Fits all" campaign, featuring photography by Louis De Belle. The campaign images depict the OG—NM301 in diverse settings, from creative studios to cluttered homes, demonstrating its multi-functional applicability and seamless integration into various environments.
