All 5 Hunger Games Movies Return to Theaters

All five films in The Hunger Games franchise will be re-released in theaters nationwide from September 3 to September 7, 2024. This limited theatrical run precedes the premiere of the newest installment, "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping." Each screening of the returning films will include an exclusive sneak peek of footage from the upcoming movie, offering fans an early look at the next chapter in the dystopian saga.

The original film, "The Hunger Games," released in 2012, will be shown alongside its sequels: "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" (2013), "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1" (2014), "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2" (2015), and the prequel, "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" (2023). This event provides an opportunity for both long-time fans and new audiences to experience the entire series on the big screen.

"The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" is scheduled for theatrical release on November 22, 2024. The film is based on Suzanne Collins's novel of the same name, which serves as a prequel to the original series. It is set 24 years before the events of the first "Hunger Games" movie and will focus on the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell, and a young Coriolanus Snow. The cast includes Tom Blyth as Coriolanus Snow and Rachel Zegler in an undisclosed role. Francis Lawrence, who directed "Catching Fire" and "Mockingjay" parts 1 and 2, as well as "The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes," returns to direct the new film.
