Aamir Khan, Arundhati Roy Film and ‘Goodness Gracious Me’ Reunion to Headline London Indian Film Festival’s 17th Edition (EXCLUSIVE)

The London Indian Film Festival's 17th edition will feature Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in conversation at BFI Southbank on July 16, serving as the closing gala. This event coincides with a 25th-anniversary screening of Khan's film "Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India," which was nominated for an Academy Award. The festival is scheduled to run from July 9 to July 19 across multiple UK cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, and Bradford. Additionally, the festival will host a reunion of the cast and crew of the British comedy "Goodness Gracious Me," celebrating its 25th anniversary. The festival program also includes a special screening of "The Last Color," directed by and starring veteran actress Nadira Babbar, and a focus on the work of acclaimed Indian author and activist Arundhati Roy, with a screening of the documentary "The World Is As You Dream It." The festival aims to showcase a diverse range of Indian cinema, from historical dramas to contemporary independent films.
