Lange & Söhne, the esteemed German watchmaker renowned for its precision engineering and classic Glashütte aesthetics, has unveiled significant new additions to its celebrated collections at the prestigious Concours of Elegance 2026. The first highlight is the reimagined 1815 UP/DOWN, a model that pays homage to the rich heritage of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the founder of the brand and a pivotal figure in German watchmaking. The new iterations of this elegant dress watch are presented in a refined 37.5 mm case, maintaining a remarkably slim profile of just 8.7 mm in height. This compact size emphasizes the watch's inherent classicism and wearability. The design philosophy of the 1815 UP/DOWN centers on its distinctive power-reserve indicator, known as "AUF" (UP) and "AB" (DOWN), which is prominently displayed opposite the subsidiary seconds sub-dial.
