2027 Toyota RAV4 Review, Pricing, and Specs

The 2027 Toyota RAV4 has been unveiled, featuring a refreshed exterior design with a more aggressive front fascia and updated LED lighting. The interior also receives a significant overhaul, boasting a larger 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard across all trims. Higher trims will offer an optional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, providing drivers with more customizable information.

Under the hood, the RAV4 retains its popular 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, but it has been retuned for improved fuel efficiency and a slight bump in horsepower, now producing an estimated 207 horsepower. This engine is paired with an updated continuously variable transmission (CVT) that Toyota claims offers smoother shifts and better responsiveness. For the hybrid variant, the 2.5-liter engine is combined with electric motors to deliver a combined output of approximately 225 horsepower, with an anticipated EPA-estimated 40 MPG combined.

Safety features have been enhanced with the inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard equipment on all 2027 RAV4 models. This suite includes pre-collision systems with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard on mid-tier and higher trims. Toyota has also introduced a new panoramic view monitor for improved parking and low-speed maneuvering.

The 2027 RAV4 will be available in five trim levels: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, and Limited. Pricing is expected to start around $30,000 for the base LE trim, with the top-tier Limited model potentially exceeding $38,000. The hybrid models will command a premium of approximately $1,500 over their gasoline counterparts. Deliveries are slated to begin in late fall 2026.
