2027 Toyota C-HR

Toyota launched the 2027 C-HR in the United States on June 25, 2024, introducing a redesigned compact SUV with a focus on hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The new C-HR will be available in three distinct trims: the LE, the XLE, and the premium SE, with pricing starting at $28,495 for the LE hybrid model. Toyota aims to capture a larger share of the compact SUV market by offering a more stylish design and advanced technology features compared to its predecessor. The LE hybrid is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired with electric motors, delivering an estimated 138 horsepower and achieving an impressive 42 MPG combined. The XLE and SE trims also feature the 1.8-liter hybrid system, with the SE trim offering a sportier suspension and unique exterior styling elements. Toyota is also introducing a plug-in hybrid variant, the C-HR Prime, which will offer an estimated 262 horsepower and an all-electric range of up to 43 miles, with a starting MSRP of $35,345. This plug-in hybrid model is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a larger battery pack, targeting consumers looking for enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Both hybrid and plug-in hybrid models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, including features like pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, and adaptive cruise control. The interior boasts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, along with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster on XLE and SE trims. The 2027 Toyota C-HR is positioned to compete with established players like the Honda HR-V and the Mazda CX-30, offering a compelling blend of efficiency, technology, and design.
