McLaren Unveils 2027 GTS Sports Car

McLaren Automotive has officially launched the 2027 McLaren GTS, a new sports car that succeeds the McLaren GT. This model is positioned to offer a blend of high performance and grand touring comfort, targeting a segment of the luxury automotive market that prioritizes both speed and usability for longer journeys. The GTS is equipped with a potent powertrain designed to deliver exhilarating driving dynamics characteristic of the McLaren brand.

At the heart of the 2027 McLaren GTS is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This powerplant is rated to produce 620 horsepower, which is an increase of 14 horsepower compared to the outgoing GT model. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling rapid gear changes and contributing to the car's performance capabilities. McLaren states that the GTS can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.1 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 202 miles per hour. The starting price for the 2027 McLaren GTS is set at $173,000 in the United States, with deliveries expected to commence in the second quarter of 2024.
