2027 Chevrolet Traverse Pricing and Specs Revealed

Chevrolet has unveiled the pricing and specifications for its redesigned 2027 Traverse SUV, with the base LS trim set to start at an MSRP of $37,600. This marks a significant update for the model, which will be available in four distinct trim levels: LS, LT, RS, and the new Z71 off-road variant. The 2027 Traverse is powered by a new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, replacing the previous 3.6-liter V6. This new engine is rated at 328 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, representing an increase of 53 horsepower and 147 lb-ft of torque over the outgoing V6. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive will be available on all trims, with the Z71 model featuring it as standard. The Z71 trim is further distinguished by an off-road suspension, skid plates, red tow hooks, and all-terrain tires, positioning it as a more capable option for adventurous use.

Inside, the 2027 Traverse boasts a significantly updated interior, highlighted by a standard 17.7-inch diagonal color touchscreen infotainment system and an 11-inch diagonal driver information center. Higher trims, such as the LT, RS, and Z71, will also feature an 8-way power driver's seat with power lumbar and heating, while the RS and Z71 will add heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Z71 trim also includes unique interior accents and embroidered logos. Chevrolet has emphasized the Traverse's utility, with a maximum cargo volume of 98.2 cubic feet when the second and third rows are folded down, and a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

Safety and driver-assistance features are also a key focus for the 2027 Traverse. Standard across all trims is Chevrolet Safety Assist, a suite of advanced safety technologies that includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and front pedestrian braking. Optional features available on higher trims include blind zone steering assist, rear cross traffic braking, and adaptive cruise control. The LT trim starts at $40,600, the Z71 at $44,300, and the premium RS trim at $47,400. The introduction of the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine and the expanded standard technology suite aim to enhance the Traverse's competitiveness in the crowded three-row SUV segment.
