2027 Audi RS Q8 Unveiled With Enhanced Performance

Audi officially unveiled the 2027 model year RS Q8 this week, introducing a significant refresh focused on performance and technology. The updated SUV retains its distinctive coupe-like silhouette but features a more aggressive front fascia with redesigned air intakes and a revised grille. The rear also sees subtle updates, including new taillight graphics and a sportier diffuser.

Under the hood, the 2027 RS Q8 is powered by an enhanced 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Audi claims this powertrain now produces 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, a notable increase from the outgoing model's 591 horsepower. This power is channeled through an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and a standard quattro all-wheel-drive system, enabling a claimed 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 190 mph with the optional Dynamic Plus package.

Inside, the cabin receives a substantial technological upgrade. The centerpiece is the new Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, featuring a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with enhanced graphics and customization options. The MMI touch response infotainment system is also updated, offering a more intuitive user interface and faster processing speeds. New material options and stitching patterns are available for the seats and dashboard, allowing for greater personalization. Standard features include a panoramic sunroof, four-zone automatic climate control, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system.

Audi has also tweaked the suspension and steering systems for improved handling dynamics. The RS sport suspension plus with adjustable damping is standard, offering a balance between comfort and sporty agility. The optional dynamic all-wheel steering system enhances maneuverability at low speeds and stability at higher velocities. Braking performance is bolstered by standard 20-inch ceramic brakes with red calipers, though larger 22-inch wheels are available. Pricing for the 2027 Audi RS Q8 is expected to start around $125,000, with deliveries anticipated to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
