The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X achieved a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 1.6 seconds on March 15, 2024, making it the quickest production car ever tested by Car and Driver. This hybrid supercar also reached 100 mph in 3.2 seconds and completed the quarter-mile in 9.4 seconds at 147.2 mph. The ZR1X is powered by a 5.5-liter LT7 V-8 engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 1250 horsepower. Its performance was further enhanced by Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, measuring 305/30ZR-20 in the front and 345/25ZR-21 in the rear, and a curb weight of 3,750 pounds. The car's advanced aerodynamics, including a large rear wing and aggressive front splitter, contribute to its exceptional track capabilities. The ZR1X's braking performance was equally impressive, stopping from 60 mph in just 97 feet and from 100 mph in 212 feet, showcasing its robust braking system designed for extreme performance.
