Two Dead After Cessna Plane Crashes in Essex Field

Two people died on Tuesday after a two-seat Cessna aircraft crashed in a field near Ongar, Essex. The plane had been engaged in a "short flight experience" when the incident occurred. Essex police confirmed the crash took place in a field off Mill Lane, Ongar. The aircraft had taken off from North Weald airfield, located approximately seven miles to the west of the crash site. Authorities have stated that the two individuals on board have not yet been formally identified. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by relevant authorities. The Cessna model is a popular light aircraft often used for training and recreational flying.
