Mel Gibson's 'Passion of the Christ' Returns to Theaters

Mel Gibson's 2004 biblical drama "The Passion of the Christ" is returning to movie theaters, with a special preview of the upcoming sequel, "The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One." Lionsgate and Fathom Events are collaborating to bring the remastered film back to the big screen starting September 10.

The re-release will feature the original film newly remastered in 4K resolution and enhanced with Dolby Atmos sound.
